That could be healed by eating raw honey on an empty stomach and at least a 1/2 hour before eating anything. It works on healing stomach ulcers as well, I know because I cured myself from one in 2007.

I'm thinking, if they're not working for her, she might not have heartburn. She might have something else wrong that needs medical attention. Simple acid indigestion (aka heartburn) responds to antacids.
Not all heartburn responds to antacids. This is why we have proton pump inhibitors and H2 blockers. Failure to respond to antacids does not rule out "heartburn" or GERD.

If you will do some research, you will discover that apple cider vinegar works well for both heartburn and GERD. Mix a tablespoon of it into a class of water and sweeten to taste with honey. Be sure to rinse your mouth out with water after you drink it since vinegar is very hard on your teeth.

So you take ACID to dilute or neutralize ACID?

When we were kids, and even now, when I have heartburn, or any stomach upset, if apple cider vinegar in water won't fix it, I take a swig or two of buttermilk.

If you take an antacid, your body will only produce more hydrochloric acid to compensate for the ph of the stomach being increased.

I don't think so since millions of people take antacids as did I, and the heartburn ceased - until next time. That's why I changed my diet. No more heartburn.

Heartburn is another man made condition.

Stomach ulcers are caused by bacteria. It can't be self diagnosed.
