Does anyone know how anchorage and the mat su area are not experencing deflating real estate prices even though the job market up here is not very strong. I have been looking into hangar/air port property in birchwood and the valley and they are staying very high (and merril field is out of the question). I am also noticing general real estate prices are staying high (not that I want to be underwater on my condo) but it makes it difficult to enter the market for additional real estate, it would almost be worth going underwater on my condo to get a SMOKIN deal on a nice hangar on a nice strip (of course the fiance would not like that when we want to upgrade to a 2 bed room lol.
