Default Which University in Arizona is the best for this Major?

I' am an environmental science major and was wondering what 4 year university in Arizona would be best for obtaining my bachaelors in that major?

I love Arizona and plan on settling down in the state. Is ASU great for that major or other universities like U. of A. in Tucson or N. Arizona in Flagstaff? Any info. or advice will be considered and greatly appreciated! Can't wait to move to AZ.

I would think ASU would be the best. They have a great science dept over there.

Here are the majors in the environmental/physical sciences at ASU. The Sustainability college is one of the relatively new departments that seems to have a very good reputation.

U of A grad here and need to chime in. Depending on what you want to focus on, check out the University of Arizona. They have a world class hydrology department and they pretty much invented the science of dendrochronology (the study of tree rings).

And, with a name of Ponderosa, you should give some serious consideration to that recommendation. NAU is probably the cheapest and the best student to teacher ratio. ASU is a diploma mill, grind them up and spit them out and would be my last choice.

I' ain't no tree hugger. LOL! However, NAU is one of the universities that I have been looking at. I also agree that ASU might be a good choice. Either way, I can't wait to get out to Arizona! Working in places like Sedona, The Grand Canyon, Tucson, Prescott, the painted deserted, ect. would be a dream come true to me.

A friend's daughter is in her 3rd year at Flagstaff, and absolutely loves the place.

Her first few months were tough - but most of that was elevation changes Sea level desert to pine trees and snow at 7000 ft. Her mother complains that her daughter never wants to come home now ...

That's what I love about Arizona. You have beautiful sea-level deserts and beautiful mile-high + mountain country with pine forest. I would love to go to school in either Flagstaff or ASU or U. of A., which ever is best for my major. Sounds like NAU might be my best choice.
