I am planning on splitting time between MA and AZ in the next few years, however I am a life long Republican as well.

Don't waste your vote in MA, that state is lost, too.
Keep AZ non (ok, less) stupid and vote Republican here.

Last thing we need is Arizona turning into a California, Mass, Ill, or New York. The most corrupt highest tax states in the country. Unfortunately Dems bring the same things that screwed up those states with them.

Oh, really? You consider that the efficient management of elections in a democracy is "unnecessary"?

You apparently don't have much experience with government websites, if you think they're clear, efficent sources of Information.

Efficiency and additional government? The two never go together.

As I said earlier the info is there (especially for AZ). If you can't find it.......

I'd love to know if the Democrats moving here from CA understand that the reasons they are moving away from there such as high cost of living, off the chart real estate prices, highest gasoline prices in the country, high taxes, overcrowding, awful traffic, failing infrastructure, homeless cities, crime, more people on government assistance than any other state, and on an on, are because the Democrats have running the show there since the early 90's. And we are seeing the all too predictable results now, including a substantial number of people and businesses leaving there for greener pastures.
Nobody is going to move from California to Phoenix because of crime..

Sure. I'm going to have to figure out establishing residency in AZ. Need to read up on the tax laws as I don't want to be hounded by MA for being a (part time) resident.

MA may be a blue state but it has largely had Republican governors, unlike CA which has been Democrat controlled from the top down.

[quote=Voebe;55564457]But apparently you didn't have a problem with the idea of a virtual one-party state as long is it was Arizona as a Republican state? The Republican majority seems to be diminishing - or perhaps it's that long-time Republican acquaintances of mine have been voting Democrat in the last few elections.

Absolutely I didn't have a problem when Arizona was a virtual one-party state. I want it to stay that way. What possible reason would anyone want a Democrat majority state here? What do the Democrats (Progressives) have to offer that has an upside for current residents of Arizona?

California used to have Republican Governors and was fairly conservative. Remember that Ronald Reagan was our governor before he became president. We have had others as well.

The question should be, why would anyone want a Democratic state anywhere?
