[post moved] So due to some major transitioning happening in my life and am entering a new phase. I also am considering Arizona(Phoenix or Tucson), moving from the south, from Atlanta area, Georgia. Originally from Southern California(San Diego and surrounding), but have been a Georgia resident for more than 15yrs. My youngest daughter just moved to Denver with her dad. I've already visited Denver and it is lovely, yet I only go during the warmer seasons. But I am not a fan of ice, snow, bi-polar and bone deep cold weather, which is usually the case in the South the last several years. I have lived all around and in Atlanta, visited almost every major city up and down the east coast including Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Florida. So I can truly say I am ready to go back west.
I want to move back west and closer to my daughter along with the majority of my relatives are located in the west, southwest and midwest parts of the country. So thus far compared to Nevada..Arizona is where I'm leaning more to be. Don't know where yet. Tuscon, Phoenix, Sedona?
Alot of my questions have already been addressed in this thread except:
Public Transportation?? how accessible is it in any of the major cities? Employment diversity? What is the best route to go as far as job seeking out there? Employment staffing agencies, career centers, networking events, job fairs, ect.? What are the best technical and community colleges?

If these questions have already been addressed in the forum please kindly let me know where to locate.

Thanks

Most of the jobs are in the two major metro areas, Phoenix and Tucson. Phoenix is quite a bit larger, also better airline service if you are going to be visiting relatives around the west. Sedona is not a place with a lot of good job opportunities.

Public transportation in Phoenix area is getting better, but how effective it is for commuting, etc., will depend on where you work and where you live. I can take a bus to work every day, and have other options if I don't want to leave early enough to catch an express bus to downtown. Express bus service is available in a lot of areas of the Valley , but not all of them. Light rail is another option, in the areas it serves either alone or in combination with a bus.

Maricopa County Community College District is one of the largest in the country. Campuses all over the Valley. Technical schools? Depends on the particular program you are looking for.

As far as job seeking, to the extent you can look before you get here, and perhaps land something, that would be best. Otherwise, you need a good cushion to carry you through while you look.

Someone else will need to chime in about Tucson.
