We don't have bugs. Our house and yard is a toxic wasteland.

Cough, ack, ack, hack...

slightly off topic but true story..

Some folks I knew back a while ago had a cat but it was almost wild and didn’t make a good pet. The house they lived in had flees so they had a fumigation done where the house is covered with a tent and you have to move out for a couple days. They looked everywhere for the cat before they moved out for a couple days .. couldn’t find it and assumed it was out being its normal cat self (remember.. somewhat wild).

After the fumigation, they moved back in and the cat showed up only now with a mellow very sweet personality - now a great pet for a long time after that. Apparently the cat got locked in the house during the fumigation..

Are any counties in Arizona exempt from them?

I got a ride home from Mill Ave last night and found a huge one in my condo's doorway outside in the puddle the AC makes. I drunkenly swatted it with a shoe and kicked it, but I went outside this morning and it was stuck in the sidewalk crack still twitching and trying to move. I'm terrified of one getting into the house, I'm probably going to spray my entryway this week.

Coming from the northeast I've never seen such a huge bug in real life.

The good news? They're much smaller than northeastern rats!

Not to worry if we have already a contract with a pest control company, so whether it is cockroaches or spiders doesn't matter.

That's true!! Biggest roach I ever saw in my life was in a car that had just been driven up from Florida to Maryland. It had been loaned to me shortly after that, and upon noticing the Jurassic-sized roach, I pulled over across 4 lanes of DC Beltway traffic... only to have an 18-wheeler stop to help me. When he asked what was the matter I could only say, "Well, you won't believe this but... but there's a giant roach in my car." He hunted it down and stabbed it with his pocketknife.
