I know most of you probably remember the story about the little 6 year old girl that got lost for three days in the Buffalo National Forest near Hawksbill Crag. Tim Ernst wrote a book about it. ( In Search of Haley)
I remember a story that Dateline did about her and she talked about a little girl that helped her in the woods.
I was telling my sisters about it and they had not heard of that part of the story. I have googled all over the place and I can't find anything about her imaginary friend which I like to refer to as her,Guardian Angel.
Do any of you remember the Dateline story?
Thanks
Okie

Okie~ Isn't Haley's "friend" mentioned in the book?? I'll have to pull out my copy.

Regardless, I can tell you many people feel there really was a guardian angel. And, I can also report that Haley has grown into an exceptionally gifted (and talented) young lady! I just saw her yesterday

Thank you so much,OurGreatEscape! I would appreciate any information about it.I don't have the book. My sisters and I hiked to Hawkbill crag the other day and when we were at Haley Fall I started thinking of her and told them about her little guardian angel. They had not heard of that part of the story.
You must know Haley personally. Please give her my best the next time you see her, (even though she does not know who I am.) Her story is such a true miracle. I am going to look for the book.

Okie
