It appears the number is growing due to better testing. Yes, everyone stay in as much as possible and take care.

This is wrong and typical of small minded Americans who have been nowhere . I lived in the Netherlands for many years with my one time Dutch husband .Most people on CD know that . They have the same system . It was and is far better than anything the US has , Period .
They spent years putting me back together after a US system didnt WANT To put me back together because this healthcare system broke me to the point of having to be on medicaid ( you know , like most of the folks in BF, Arkansas) and this system assumed I could not pay to have myself put back together so I should be left to linger on pills to get me through . Cheaper .

Yay , what a fabulous system .

We may develop newer /cutting edge technology but most of us are not able to access it so it does most of us no good .

My son is an ER nurse in Houston at a trauma center who is now on the 11-7 with the virus patients - he echoes how I feel about access . They all know .

Their spread of this has zero to do with socialism . Since you do not like socialism then maybe you can give your paid into SS to someone else that would appreciate it .

You have your feelings and for good reasons, but yes, socialized medicine and not as good medical system in Italy has not helped their problem. We do have better care in our country with better doctors and medical facilities.

One more comment; I have 2 friends, both from Holland and both now American citizens. They would take our medical system any day over Hollands. One is recovering almost considered healed with brain cancer. She swears our country's care saved her life.

Please be aware of the following symptoms. They might come all at once or only one.

Shortness of breath.
Strong pain, like needles sticking into your chest.
Extreme fatigue.
Dry cough.
Strong headaches.
Diarrhea.
Fever over 100.4 up to 103-104.

Antibiotics don't work - but if you go to a hospital they might offer some to prevent picking up another infection.

The breathing machines are not a cure, but help you breathe and survive while your own body fights off the virus to full recovery.

Thanks this is pretty much what we are hearing. In fact, to keep from overcrowding the hospitals it seems the medical field is suggesting, if systems are not too bad and there is no temp, just stay at home, drink a lot of liquids, use common sense and stay away from others until the virus runs its course.

Sad news. Prayers to those families.

It's happening in Oklahoma too.

I recommend limiting time watching the news. I feel like a bug being drawn to the zapper. The more I watch, the more anxiety builds. Fortunately, there is plenty for me to do as I can still telecommute for work and its that time of year to prepare taxes and get mowers ready to cut acreage. Illinois is about 3 weeks away from peaking by my estimate. AR is likely a week or two behind us.
