They definitely need this. A lot of hospitals are already run out of medicine supplies and there is no electricity to pump the oxygen. I heard there are some hospitals that already closed because they don't have supplies anymore.
The hospital ship USNS Mercy, which has been used in disaster relief before, is on standby.
"We have not as yet been tasked to activate Mercy, but should that order come, we could have the ship ready to go in five days or less," said Commodore Mike Taylor, who heads up the Military Sealift Command which oversees Mercy.

And you want to blame the common people for that one? That's like labeling everyone in the USA a bully and war monger because of the decisions made by a few.
Those desperate and without anything will probably remain grateful to the people that came to aid them. Why do you think otherwise? Wouldn't you be if you were in a position similar to theirs?
