It seems that freedom is stil at stake or still can't get over of that Suharto's style... i could be wrong..
What? we block sites that contain "porn" material (although vimeo was too much for this issue) but apart from that there is no limit for almost anything else. And seriously the hunger index won't lie that about Indonesia having lower percentage in terms of malnutrition, we are a nation of 240 million, see you are very ignorant troll. One day you boast how Indonesia is a bigger country now you are denying this, it shows that you are stupid.
I don't make the desicion about it being better it was ranked that way: Philippines is only ranked 149th nation, Indonesia is no 3 in terms of ASEAN media freedom and is ranked 132th. Reporters Without Borders

8 million wan't mentioned to be severly malnourshed in the article.
And also the media in the Philippines is government controlled, remember CNN during Haiyan?
Indonesia 132th, Philippines 149th... Indonesia is 3rd best in ASEAN only after Brunei and Thailand, you can't call us hypocrites because your govt hide more things than us, and as far concerned the media here is being overly expressive and critical compared to many of its neighbor. Not brainwashing gov't propaganda that always give you good news to feel good and censor everything they see will give bad image about their country. The numbers do paint a bleak picture when juxtaposed against the Philippines' economic growth for 2012. Estimates from the United Nations (UN) show that six million Filipinos are malnourished, around 66% of whom are under the age of six.
Its 4 million not 500k dummy, you can't deny there's 4 million Filipino children malnutritioned + 5 million adults, and sorry to brust your bubble really, the media in Indonesia is much more free to express things.
And you tend to pick information without fully reading it, really show how ignorant you are by setting a blind eye on the real issue.

Another misunderstanding. The ranking in press freedom is not about being how free to express your opinion, how free to make reports and how open the Philippines to the world is, but other factors too.
Given that the Philippines is a very democratic country, freedom of expression, which includes press freedom, is very much guaranteed. It just so happened that there are lots of extra-judicial killings being uncovered by reporters causing the Philippines to rank low. Freedom of the press is so abused. The Philippines is being pictured out like a trash by reporters (foreign or local) to the Philippines' detriment in world rankings (including press freedom ranking).
Now, if you cannot get this, then you are already blinded by the reports your are relying at.
It will surely make you hypocrite not to analyze this world complexity. I tell you, its not that really easy to conclude.
There are people who paint their countries like heaven. Our intention here is very much different. Our country seems to have been negatively painted, causing misconception to many. Hence, the title of this forum :Looking at photos of Manila, I was shocked.
Hey remind me what is the post about? Is it about press freedom or something else? The replies here lately were out of the topic. And why a heated debate between Indonesia and Philippines? The post is about similarities between Puerto Rico and the Philippines.

Haven't you read the posts of our friend from Indonesia?
Anyway, yes as requested let's bring back the similarities of Puerto Rico and Ph.
@Bigfoot 09
Buen Senor dias! Boss just wanna ask... how's life now under the US? do you use USD now as national currency?
And... How's Dianara Torres in Puerto Rico now, still active in showbiz? (the much loved Puerto Rican by the Filipinos)
This is a thread about The Philippines and Puerto Rico, not the Philippines and Indonesia
