I would think HK being once a British colony should be high on the list-British,Indian,Chinese,Portuguese and Americans.
and then of course Filipinos,Indonesians.
But not too many Europeans say French,German, and not too many Australians.or Middle Easterners,South Americans.
HK has become very expensive in terms of lodging, food is not too bad

With Tokyo it is: As of January 1st, 2021, there were about 546,436 foreigners living in Tokyo, comprising about 4.1% of the total Tokyo population of 13,297,089 people.

The top ten nationalities, other than Japanese, living in Tokyo comprise about 85% of the total population of foreigners.

The top ten countries, by foreigner population, are:

China
South Korea
Viet Nam
Philippines
Nepal
Taiwan
US
India
Myanmar

I agree on this one, HK is the most diverse city I'd ever been to in Asia.

It depends on which district. South Asians, Filipinos , Indonesians and Africans you can see them in all districts. Westerners, Japanese and Koreans are more concentrated in some districts.

Japan actually has many ethnic or foreign Chinese and Koreans. Chinese food is eaten by many Japanese regularly.
