Thank you to all that have responded, but I decided to go with a different trip. I will be spending February backing in Sri Lanka. I just purchased my plane ticket today. Some determining factors were:
$40 a day budget will stretch much farther in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka is much more tropical.
I found out that my bad habit, vaping, is illegal is Taiwan.
