This is assuming, of course, that the supernatural even exists and is not something purely imaginary.
When most of the world's religions were invented, nobody knew anything about dark matter, dark energy, subatomic particles, gravitational singularities and such. It makes me wonder whether practically everything that ancient people might have considered to be supernatural and unseen is finally within the grasp of scientific explanability today.
