Nobody has a power bill that high unless your house was built with no insulation, your windows have all leaked, and your a/c is running from 9 pm to 9 am.

Still, I couldn't see it. Maybe $300-something.

In NC, Duke Energy charges 9.6 cents per KW/h.

Last month, I enjoyed paying a power bill of $27 and change - the lowest on record going all the way back to when I left college in 1989. The actual bill was $52 (very low due to no AC being run) minus a $25 credit for overpayment on the nuke plant. Even better, there's two more of those credits due to come this summer.
