I'd like to be able to get my son enrolled for the current season of sports recreation. We're moving to Suwanee in abt a month or two. Can anyone give me info. on the teams or recreational facilities where I can check online and get him signed up? We'll be at the Amli on McGinnis Ferry Rd so places within 5 to 10 miles from there would be ideal.

Please do let me know how your experience has been with your child as well - I'd appreciate it!

I'd like to know about Youth Basketball, Football, Soccer, and swimming for toddelers as well as youths Thx

Look up Gwinnett County Parks and Rec. on the internet, and look at the latest issue of Gwinnett L.I.F.E. which will outline activities at the local parks. The closest pools are at Bogan and Collins Hill parks. For soccer at George Pierce Park, look at atlantaunitedsoccer.com, but act fast - registration may have closed.

Smile soccer for kids

Try Silverbacks stadium at Brodgin street, off suwanee dam road. Its 15 minutes drive from McGinnis ferry (within 5 miles) and they soccer & lacross there. Its indoor so winter won't be a problem.

My nephew who is 4+ goes there for soccer. they have age groups and he seems to be enjoying it. I've been there a couple of times with him, and I thinks its worth it.

As for swimming, the community where you stay probably has a pool where there would be instructors to teach the toddlers as well. Ask at the community swimming pool.

I'm sorry I cannot help u regarding football & Basket ball.

If u are interested in rock cimbing, there is a place before u reach the stadium at 460 brodgin street. Kids love those things and it should be good during summers.

When we lived out by the Mall of GA we had our son doing t-ball. The games were always at Bogan Park.

It's been 4 years so I don't remember where we got started but I want to say it was through the county rec website.
