Does she have a support system here already? Does she drive?

heroin is illegal in atlanta, but that doesn't mean the bluff isn't notorious for it.

if she's going to live in a suburban area, i would avoid much of cobb and gwinnett, although not all is bad in those counties. many of the suburbs that used to be nice in those areas were the victims of overdevelopment, are now covered in old strip malls and shoddy houses built in the 70s and 80s that no one wants anymore. this has led to a lot of human trafficking and drugs over in gwinnett especially.

suburban areas i would go for are sandy springs, dunwoody, roswell, alpharetta, peachtree city, vinings, newnan, and canton.

So, you are saying that prostitution in Las Vegas is analogous to heroin in Atlanta, which is a tiny part of Atlanta's economy (and illegal) limited to some neighborhood that I have never heard of where only the most wretched people hang out. Thank you for reinforcing my point.

LOL, you have it backward. The houses are in fine shape. The residents therein are of lower quality now compared to the 1980s. The newer residents have started "human trafficking and drugs" (a rather sloppy attempt at political correctness - why not just point out the massive gang arrests in Gwinett a few days ago?), which causes people to not want to live there any more.

Downtown Atlanta has some good deals at this point as well. Condo's can be great, especially if she'll be traveling away. There are garden clubs that she can get involved with to fill the urge!

the human trafficking is not just a local problem— i went to a summit a couple of years ago in dunwoody where they spoke about gwinnett county— they said it had grown to be the "human trafficking hub of the southeast", meaning people and children who are essentially enslaved are usually found and traded in gwinnett— from what they had said a lot of it was related to international crime rings like the triads and yakuzo.

the houses are technically in OK condition but most were built after the 1970s and are made with cheaper materials— meaning they aren't buildings with "historic" value. when you can buy a new home that is built the same way, most people aren't going to want to move in there.

and gwinnett has an awful problem with overdevelopment. there are so many abandoned shopping centers and warehouse industrial buildings, it has destroyed the landscape.

Atlantic Station would be great for walking. There are lots of stores and nice restaurants located within walking distance of the many reasonable gated apartment complexes nearby.
