Thanks for the clarification.
Can I assume that only 1 school (of each level) is assigned to any one housing zone?

Also, by living a long distance from your private school, your kids do lose out on some of the neighborhood friendships as well as the bus-stop bonding between moms/dads. And, you do a lot more driving for birthday parties, sleep-overs, play-dates. I still swear that my kids found their best friends by figuring out who lived the longest distance away.
Yes, I agree. I don't think it is time well spent sitting in the car. As the kid gets older, there will be more frequent time when the kid needs to stay late in school for activities. Staying far away makes it harder for the kid to be active in school in that sense.
