I think it looks great! Hopefully there is plenty of parking planned for the back of those buildings. They recently opened a very similar complex in Asheville, NC. They included angled parking on the main street, but once those filled the lots were pretty remote.

Yup- the line and station should be complete by about 2060 by the time it gets funding, approvals, environmental studies completed, right of way purchased, etc. You're going to have to drive there until then....

Looks great! Awesome suburban development.

I'm just wondering, though, if there is no street parking, why bother having roads through it at all? I'm trying to figure out where those cars are going!

Also, if you look at the beginning, there is a large blue rectangle on the bottom right. Is a lake part of the plan as well, or is this just some kind of blue rooftop or blue pavement of some kind? It almost looks like a gigantic lap pool, but way too big to be a swimming pool. I sure hope it's some kind of water feature!

This is exactly the type of development we need. I wish Gwinnett's demographics hadn't shifted so much, something like this would be awesome to take Gwinnett Place Mall's place.

I agree. But in 5 years it would be nothing but Asian grocery stores, karaoke places, and we buy gold stores.

You have to have the demographics and affluence to support a development like this. Believe me, I wish my neighborhood had it! I couldn't imagine a better location for what they want to do than the one they picked, though. That area isn't going downhill any time soon, and it's only 15 minutes from me anyway, so I guess I can't complain.

Hopefully parking is done like Robertson blvd in Los Angeles, a multi-story deck completely hidden by a building facade. But I doubt that is the case here.

Not to thread hop, ATLTJL, but why wouldn't this make a fantastic late night party district?

It's a straight shot on 400 and only 15-18 minutes from the old Buckhead stomping grounds.
