I've never been but I work really close to it, so a lot of my co-workers go all the time. Supposedly really nice. Not sure if it's too far from where you are though.

The YMCA is really great and they do offer scholarships that greatly reduce the membership rates if you qualify. My Mom always gets a great senior rate based on her income.

The Second Ponce de Leon Baptist church on Peachtree street in buckhead has a family rec center with pool and steam room. You don't have to be a member of the church to go. There is a monthly fee, but it is nice.
