My parents are considering moving to Peachtree City from out of state. Their price range will be in the 200s and they prefer a single family home.

Are there any new construction developments or great neighborhoods that you can point me to?

What are the most convenient neighborhoods for golf cart transportation? I really want them to be able to safety access shopping on their golf carts as they get older.

Any advice for potential residents is welcome, and thank you!

You can find a SFH around 200,000 but not sure about new construction. If the new construction, is a priority, you could always look north to Tyrone or south, in Fayetteville. Both have limited golf cart trails.

The city center or north of city(Kedron area) offers the best access to the trails. You can get everywhere in PTC by golf cart, but if you live on south side of town, the golf cart ride could be 30 min to the center. There is less shopping, retail on the south side. Their are grocery stores, restaurants on the south side but more options in the center or north side of town.

The recreation center, amphitheater, library are in the city center. Look around Lake Peachtree, and go out from there.

One of my favorite subdivisions is Water Wood bend which borders Lake Peachtree. These are older homes but they have great access to the golf cart paths and City Hall , Library etc . I just saw on another site that 3 of the homes there are in pre -foreclosure - so they should be below their budget .

Hey there!! Just curious if your parents have moved to Peachtree City yet? My wife and I are in our late 30's and have lived here for 6 years and love it. If you've got any questions, I'll be glad to help answer! I'm not a realtor, not in rentals, and I don't have a business in Peachtree City - we just are very happy residents here and are glad to help out anyone who's considering moving here!!!

Thanks!

Default Considering PTC

I am considering the PTC area for a potential move from San Antonio, TX. My family consists of my wife and 2 young children. PTC seems like a great place to raise a family and that's probably the most important factor in our choosing a place to live. I would be working in the Adamsville area...any idea what kind of commute it would be to PTC? Our housing budget would be in the 300-350k range, are the SFH options in that price range pretty good? Would be interested in any and all insight into PTC for a young family. Thanks in advance.
