Centennial is made for this kind of festival. Only problems will be parking.

A win for Downtown! - I think. Yes, parking is limited, but it tends to be slightly cheaper than most of midtown parking (except during big events).

Well the great thing is you can park at the Marta station and then walk over from 5 points or Ga dome station.

I see this as a total positive. In only the three years that I've been going to Sweetwater, the festival has become far, far bigger and much more crowded. This year my I and my friends felt very claustrophobic at times because of how tight every place was. Sounds like a great plan to me!

It used to be in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The parking situation downtown is orders of magnitude better, and offers MARTA options.

Parking+beer fest= DUI. COP offers better MARTA connection than Candler Park did. It was terribly overcrowded last year.

There are zillions of parking spaces near Centennial. Parking for this will be extremely easy, especially compared to Candler Park.

They used to have huge concerts there in the '00s just about every weekend and nothing got destroyed. This park was built specifically for the purpose of hosting large crowds during the olympics, so I'm sure it can handle the occaisional concert.

This year I remember waiting in line for over an hour to get into Candler Park on the Saturday afternoon, i think it was clear to see they had outgrown the venue.
