Of course it's good advice. It just seems silly for it to be offered in the context of a discussion about an event moving to a location that is far more MARTA friendly than the previous location.

That's what is so great about many events in Atlanta like this one, Marta station is mere blocks away so you can choose not to drive if you like.

FYI, Candler Park has a Marta station. I took the train to the festival this past year and had a great time even though it was cold. Parliament Funkadelic was there and it was a great show.

And for people who may not know as well, I'll share my little free parking secret downtown. Park over there by Centennial Place Apartments. It is only a few blocks from the park and all the streets throughout that community have free parking. I park there all the time when I go on that side of downtown Atlanta.

A lot of drinking goes on at those events, too, so why single out Sweetwater 420 Fest? Just because of the name? Are we really that shallow?
I'm not singling out Sweetwater 420. No one should be driving to any event where a lot of drinking is going on. For Pete's sake, people should just take the bus or the train, or, heaven forbid, walk. If all of that is too painful, perhaps they could spring for a cab.

What about people who don't drink? Believe it or not, non-drinkers enjoy concerts and festivals.

Uber X really is the business.

$6 from Midtown to Edgewood. $4.50 Midtown to Virginia Highlands...it really can't be beat.
