We do, and we LOVE our house. We moved in 2002 and still love our place. In fact, we really wish that they built in-town because we would buy from them again in a heart beat. They are a really small company and stand behing their houses (it is a really small chain of command if you need to move past the neighborhood level for any reason). Our actual builder (i.e. the one who oversaw the construction of our home) is up in Gwinett now... he was awesome! Feel free to PM with any questions you may have.

Surprised to read comment about the quality and bells and whistles? I've been researching Silver Creek vs Legacy and Atreus (Homelife) for some time. And yes while they are all big square footage builders, agents and homeowners I've talked to seem much more pleased in Silver Creek's subdivisions vs the other two. Plus their number of floorplans and trim packages have apparently increased dramatically over the last six months or so. We think we've decided on their Lexington Park sub near South Fulton Pkwy. I'll let you know how it goes.

Default Builders in Atlanta area

Thank you for the reply.....we have changed the location of buying a home to Loganville, GA....DR Horton has a sub. there called Haynes Creek....any thoughts on that? How about Legacy Communities? Can not touch the price of a Ryland Home unfortunatly! Am also interested in a sub. called Arbors at Tara.....any info on that? Also a sub. called Tara Club Estates?
We appreciate any help.
Thank you,
MJMD

Legacy Communities gives you a lot house for the money. DR Horton is more geared toward the fine details that aren't sometimes noticed until after the purchase.

To get more information about negotiating with builders, here's a good forum.

Uh?
Horton and "fine details" in the same sentence, priceless!
"aren't noticed until after the purchase"- you meant fine print, didn't you?
