Atlanta once again tops list as America?s No. 1 moving destination - Atlanta Business Chronicle

For the fifth year in a row, Atlanta topped the list of the country's top 10 moving destinations on Reading, Pa.-based Penske Truck Leasing Co. L.P.'s annual compilation.

The company created its list based on requests for one-way moves in 2014.

The top 10 destinations for American movers:

  2. Tampa/Sarasota, Fla.
  3. Dallas/Fort Worth
  4. Phoenix
  5. Orlando, Fla.
  6. Seattle
  7. Denver
  8. Houston

I do too... Notice what's conspicuously absent? Any metro in California... Also a little surprised Raleigh or Charlotte didn't make the list. They are clearly growing still.

Again, I agree. I currently live in Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area, and know for a FACT it AAAAAND Charlotte are in the top for fastest growing cities. I too, thought, hmmmmm, no NYC or any city in California on the list?? Interesting!

Oh I know... Still it's important to note it due to Penske being one of the largest moving companies. It doesn't include those who rent U-Haul's or move using their own cars and trucks.
