He's kind of right. While it's nice that people are stepping up to fill a gap...why is there a gap to be filled? Maybe if MARTA wasn't wasting its time and money on things like art, and even WiFi (yes, this is a luxury) they could do the job that we're paying them to do instead of having to rely on unpaid volunteers.

Efffin A Cotton.

Someone else actually gets it.

MARTA can't publish maps and put them around bus stops?

MARTA and local government's are so ineffective that they can't get trash cans to keep the urban areas from being open dumpsters?

We need an 'Army' of people with nothing better to do to do this for them. I'd rather demand the government agencies actually do the job they are paid to do... but that would be fixing the problem, not putting lipstick on the pig like these mass transit warriors.

What sort of loser waste their time doing this rather than demanding reformative change?

The Army has morphed into a formidable force.

Keep it up!

There is a significant difference between legitimate criticism of what MARTA should be doing/paying for and branding a whole group of people (that are volunteers nonetheless) "losers" just to be an a-hole. If Mike really had a pair he'd go down to a MARTA station and call them losers to their faces, but he won't because he's nothing but a coward.

Why don't you get out from behind your computer and ask them?

That's why I said "kind of." I strongly disagree with his characterization of the people as "losers" but the question seriously needs to be raised, why do we NEED the MARTA Army?

Yes, I'll take time from my day to go down to some disgusting part of town to inform these losers that they are losers.

You seem to be very sensitive to this subject. Are you one of these losers?
