The world is that crazy?
I don't care if that cop meant you 'black' people or you 'Fulton County' people, he is an offcier of the law and took an oath to protect and serve people of all races and counties.

Exactly! And I highly doubt his blanket statement of "you people" of Fulton county would include the white couple from Johns Creek or Alpharetta.

Nothing will happen to him. Cops can do whatever they want-they will be protected by: Their union; their superiors; fellow officers; District Attorneys; Grand Juries; and juries at trial.

Well if he did get fired he could just setup a gofundme account. There is enough racist, bigoted idiots for this guy to ride around in a Maserati. Think "poor George" Z and his supporters, and look at all the "incidents" he has been in since then.

I worked in Count On Being Busted for 9 years and the sheriffs that worked part time at my job even admitted the local PD sucked and they harass people. Even the sheriff said they are a bit tough on people too because they want the county to stay nice and dont want lower their property values if too much crime comes into the county. So 5 plus years working with Sheriffs and all of them had negative thoughts towards local PD can show you how the local PD treated people.

Many of my co workers have their stories of being pulled over at night and being held at the side of the road by the local PD while they were being cursed at and the cops were searching their cars for drugs and found nothing.

I wouldnt sum up the whole Cobb PD for the actions of one bigoted cop, but this county has a very big history of how its PD fore treats people.

I thought this story sounded suspicious, so I watched the video. The perp was mouthy from the beginning. He clearly has an attitude problem and created the conflict. He pretended not to be able to understand the officer (hilarious given that the perp is the one who is mumbling).

I agree that the officer should be able to rise above the behavior of these trashy people, who we all unfortunately have to live around nowadays. That's his job.

But his comments aren't the least bit offensive in context and shouldn't even result in criticism, let alone punishment.

Most people who shape public opinion in America are deeply ignorant and have lived sheltered lives. They only know themselves and similar types. They don't understand that, unlike themselves, some people need to be regularly reminded of authority. They literally think authority is an ugly thing, in part because they've never lived without it and in part because they've never been exposed to diversity.
