I remember when I moved back to Atlanta in 2009. We still had that big hole in Buckhead wondering if and when it would be developed. City Hall East (PCM) was empty. MARTA was in horrible financial shape. Avalon was an abandoned field. No streetcar. No high rise development announces. The thought of a MARTA expansion was . Clayton County was in need of transit bad. No Old School Hip Hop radio stations. Etc.

We have come a long ways since 2009

Yes we have, but we have a long way to go, but the City of Atlanta is in a great position to change the Car-first mentality with people like Tim Keane. The city has a budget surplus, billions of new investment, issued bonds for infrastructure, and selling property to private developers.

Yep! And unemployment rate reached 10.6% that year. Now, it's in the low 5's - like 5.2% - Less than half of what it was in Oct 2009.
