Shep’s Grant Park Ace Hardware is an independently owned family retailer of Ace Hardware, selling brands such as Big Green Egg, Stihl, Yeti, Weber, Toro and Craftsman. The Larkin location, a 5,700-square-foot store, would be the second in the Atlanta area, with each Ace Hardware store tailored to meet the needs of the local community.

Less parking?! Way to go Cabbagetown!
Quote:
Now, Cabbagetown is trying to fight back against massive parking lots and density with approval of two variances for land at Memorial Drive and Tye Street, next to Brother Moto.

The neighborhood voted to support a parking variance that will theoretically “provide future flexibility in case the [owner] wants to lease to a restaurant at the corner” of the site, according to a resident who attended the meeting.

While some may look at the proposed row of commercial buildings and surface parking lot — which will contain 64 spaces instead of the previously required 84 — and wonder why the standard five-story mixed-use building isn’t rising there, the answer is pretty simple.

This is great. Last I had heard was that everything on this site was falling through due to a maze of underground utilities, and that it was not worth the investment. This seems like a good, neighborhood friendly compromise. Now, all they need are tenants other than the typical Metro PCS/Mattress Firm/American Deli that pop up in every new development.

There's really not enough in that area. Helps promote a car free lifestyle where you can just carry your mattress home.

Why are there so many mattress stores?

It took a while, but the Brother Moto team has transformed a dusty, vacant Cabbagetown warehouse into a unique business hybrid that continues Memorial Drive’s metamorphosis.
