Sounds to me like she properly handled what was tantamount to a loaded question and a cheap shot.

Let's think about it - raising a "yes" sign to whether "police" - not "some police" - target... Well, that, too, could give the wrong impression. I believe the question was overly broad for an intellectual response.

I'm surprised that the inquiring 'journalist' didn't ask the candidates if they had stopped beating their wives.
It did serve the purpose of giving ill-informed voters ammo against Councilwoman Norwood, however.

Peter Aman's new ad is Onion worthy. "My husband is not a racist and is willing to work with people who aren't white."

Throwback Thursday to our first mayoral election (from the South Downtown Facebook page):

Quote:
#tbt On Saturday, January 29, 1848, 215 votes were cast in Atlanta’s first mayoral election. There were just two candidates – Moses Formwalt and Jonathan Norcross – and just one polling place – Thomas Kile’s grocery store (presently the site of the William Oliver Building at Five Points).
28-year-old Formwalt ran a tin and copper business (selling items such as whiskey stills) and had the support of the “Free and Rowdy Party.” 39-year-old Norcross was a sawmill operator (producing cross ties for the railroad) and dry goods merchant with support from the “Moral Party.”
We don’t know the vote count, but Formwalt was declared the winner and became Atlanta’s first mayor. Norcross was eventually elected Atlanta’s fourth mayor in 1851.
The painting shown here, dated 1949, is the work of Atlanta artist and historian Wilbur Kurtz and is in the collection of the Atlanta History Center.
Which candidate would be the "Free and Rowdy" candidate this election? They got my vote!

There are occasionally panhandlers in the area (although I've never seen one on campus). Of course, its not anything like GSU.
