I have read that Georgia is according to WalletHub the 9th-best state economy in America as of this past June, and to my liking, Georgia has what I would call "acceptable" real estate taxes, as it is ranked 25th in the country.

To residents of the towns I named in the title of the thread (and nearby towns), how is the job market there, and what fields do you know to be hiring?

I used to live in Suwanee, and I didn't consider it a job market, more of a residential town (commuting to Alpharetta maybe, or local business owners).

Alpharetta has the IT jobs. Mostly "back office" type jobs. The "creative" IT jobs are in Midtown, Buckhead, Dunwoody (where corporations are headquartered).

If you happen to be in healthcare, I think Alpharetta / Johns Creek would be good.

IT is basically why Alpharetta exists. Municipal fiber, 20 data centers, you name it. Comapnies like Fiserv, ADP, Ryder, McKesson, Dell/HP, Microsoft are located here.

As for the job market, it's pretty great IMO depending on your specific niche.

Suwanee/Johns Creek are far more residential. Alpharetta is a combination - but the 400 corridor is where a lot of white collar jobs are located ( Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, Buckhead, Midtown )

Professional services are in demand in that area as well as jobs in construction and services. What is your line of work?

I just moved from Suwanee and lived there for 16 years, and I cannot think of a single neighbor or friend in my large neighborhood who actually worked in Suwanee, because there really isn’t much in the way of office space there. Everyone seemed to commute to Atlanta or Alpharetta, or north into Gainesville.
