Hi Everyone,

I live in Suwanee, but am willing to drive. I'd love to find a doctor in the Johns Creek, Suwanee, Duluth -ish area.

But again, I don't mind too much driving.

My last experience was awful so I'm hoping to find a doctor who is less assembly line w/ patients, and more engaged w/ patients.

Thank you for any ideas!!

Alley

lol, touchy subject. If you are low risk (discuss with your family doctor), look into cologard. Sure beats the full blown procedure/prep and your insurance may cover the cost.

As for a real Doc rec, I'll leave that for others...

btw, Awesome and colonoscopy should never be used in the same sentence!

My doctor actually ordered a Cologuard -- and it's in my bathroom right now unopened. As far as I know nobody in my family has had colon cancer.

Can you share your experience w/ Cologuard? And thank you!!

It was simple, not much different than completing one of those DNA kits. Here's a video on the procedure. After you send it off, your Doctor will get the results back in 2 to 3 weeks. Mine came back negative and my insurance picked up the entire tab as "preventative".
