However, I think a more useful suggestion would be that OP should indicate their price range for monthly rental or purchase price of a home. That would allow people to make better suggestions of areas in which to look for housing. Also, as suggested by LovinDecatur, a better fix on the work location would be helpful too. |

I would say either central Smyrna, central Vinings, or the Marietta Square.

I'm from queens, albeit moved here 8 years ago. Stay away from living in MArietta, the square or anything. You said you're in your early 20s...do you know people here? You may want to live so that driving to meet up with them or any friends you make isn't so far. I'm a city boy, so naturally couldn't live out in the burbs, though I worked in them for quite some time.
The vinings area people suggest may work for you, it does not for me due to midtown still being too far. Come down and check out midtown/the highlands/old 4th ward and see what you like. Traffic can be bad but never more than 30-40 minutes on the way into town except when the braves play or fridays - 1 hour. Tell us more and we can help you. |

I agree with the vining/smyrna recommendation. I am very familiar with the albany, ny area. My boyfriend just moved from there again, and works for GE in marietta, and hates the commute from downtown to marietta.. Do yourself a favor , and save gas!
