A buck-twenty-seven...MANY, MANY years ago...I was being paced by a Supra...he couldn't believe I stayed next to him in my Mercury Sable!

When I first moved to ATL, 400 was two lanes in either direction and didn't need both of those much of the time! Like I said, MANY, MANY years ago.
(Didn't have the Sandy Springs PO-lice then, either!)

Stupid thread alert! What's next, "How many beers have you had before driving?" Must be a guy thing.

What's the point in driving that fast? You're only putting yourself and others in danger.

OK, ladies, don't get all worked up. It was one time...never encountered another vehicle...haven't been that fast since...lot's has changed in over two decades. Not to justify anything but one trip around the perimeter will yield a dozen things much more dangerous than simply driving fast.

Also, not the worst thread ever started here.

Moving on now...

Either that, or he/she broke down as soon as he/she got there.

We buried the needle once in a 1976 Malibu Classic, but that was in the middle of the afternoon on a new low-traffic stretch of road in western Minnesota (MN Highway 7 just west of Appleton).

What was the point? The new road badly needed testing! The new dark smooth asphault was calling to us.... And man, that car could move!

I also drove my 1986 1/2 Supra a little ways at high speed along I-90 in southern MN, but I don't remember going too much over 100.
