Fayetteville and Tyrone both have VERY nice upscale neighborhoods. The wealthiest majority-black Census tract in the entire state is in north Fayette County. The richest real estate in the county is in Woolsey and Brooks, in the southern end of the county -- NOT Peachtree City! Peachtree City, in fact, is the only place in Fayette County that has subsidized housing. So this whole notion that Peachtree City is the ONLY place in Fayette County that's "desirable" is complete and utter nonsense.

Stick with what you know Caleb Longstreet ... don't revive a VERY VERY old thread just to BASH Fayette County!
Not bashing it. Just observing it. Great, you are near downtown....mid-town a bit further...and where are the MAJORITY of the jobs moving to??? Mid-Town NORTH and beyond...nuff' said. Much like I said, Fayette is "spotty"...there are pockets of nice...but, again, I'll stick to my observations of 15 years....there are haves and have nots......P'tree city did a good job as a planned community. SE Fayetted has some nice housing areas....and then, surrounded by not-so-nice....

Enjoy....it's all yours.

P.S....TONS of people??? All 107,000 of them.....not exactly like Cobb, Fulton, DeKalb, and Cherokee (roughly 226,000 folks).

There are rich, and poor, everywhere. No shock here. Fayette did have a land ordinance of 5 acre minimums at one time....not sure if that is still in effect. Again, not saying it's ONLY p'tree city....there are pockets of nice....everywhere.

Yes, it's still in effect!

Fayette County's poverty rate is 5.9 percent -- LOWEST in the Metro Area! Lower than Forsyth and Cherokee! Hello?
