Someone was asking about this site earlier, I think. From the Marietta Daily Journal:

"SMYRNA - Columbia Properties is planning to bring new life to the corner of South Cobb Drive and the East West Connector in Smyrna.

The Smyrna City Council unanimously approved a rezoning request by the Atlanta-based company to build a 61,000 square foot retail center with three outlying parcels on the 8.53-acre site. "

It isn't like that intersection is hurting for development now, but this sounds like a nice addition.

Across from it to the north are the Vinings Grill (good burgers), a Publix, and a bunch of smaller stores/restaurants including a Burger King. To the east is a house. :-) Kiddy-corner to the NE is the gas station and the US Cafe and friends behind it.

Yes, it's a fairly nice view except for the smokestack in the foreground.

It looks like they're actually building on the site now. Any idea what this first building is going to be? Some sort of restaurant? Another car wash??
