Yes they will hire you permanent after 12-15 months of temp work as long as you show up every day and do your job and you pass your physical. I know one older guy been there a while and he didn't pass his grip test so he is just still working as a temp sad. A lot of people are quiting working 6 days a week like we have been doing. But you make it past the first 6 months to a year and all is good.

Interesting, I received an email this week indicating Kia HR wants to talk to me via telephone. Nine months after my interview and assessment. I will call today to see what they want to discuss.

They did offer me a job and indicated they have a new hire orientation that is starting July 23, 2012. However after several months of waiting I found something at about twice the pay. So I'm opening up a position for one of you that is also looking for the call! Good luck everyone; I hope your turnaround time is a lot less than the 9 months I experienced!

This job sucks, been here 1 1/2 years, you have to make it 2 years before you make good money $19 an hour. 6 days a week rotating shifts you don't have a life.

I used to work at KIA from April25 2011 to Nov10 2011 I liked it. However the place is located in West Point,GA where their is not much to do for someone that likes to meet people it was depressing for me. I do regret quitting there and I am not able to be rehired directly or by staffing agency. I was in paint (prime sand) with Stan on C shift I think his on B-shift now. Any way the jobs are easy you just have to deal with the rotating shifts which made quit, if the shifts did not rotate I would still be there.
