And living in town, trust me white suburban folks come in to town all the time to enjoy the city.
I second this. I see more Cobb and Gwinnett tags than Fulton and Dekalb some days.

No....what I'm saying is that nothing has suddenly gotten terrible. The City of Atlanta has never been the safest city in the country, but it's safer than many others. As I said, the population that lives within the city limits is only around 1/10 of the population of the metro area. Many other major cities are larger in area and population inside the city limits and include per capita crime stats for areas comparable to suburbs in the Atlanta area. If you took the per capita stats for the City of Atlanta and the suburban counties, you would get more blended statistics.

Remember, there are "lies, damn lies, and statistics."

I don't think the issue is the color of skin, I think the issue lies with a certain lifestyle or culture. There are just certain lifestyles and cultures that people do not want to be around.

Another way of saying..."I just don't like being around too many black people..."

Many, many people are so obviously very uncomfortable with Atlanta's/Metro Atlanta's large, robust, non-marginalized, prominent, and influential black population...

...and really, it is such a unique aspect for a major world/international city. Sigh.

I see, Neil :P

It makes sense. Ousc probably doesn't like being around the heavily influenced rap black people. Well, that's me. The violent attitudes aren't appealing to me that are often shown towards women. I also don't like being around the country white people. I don't care about your truck or your boots.

Doesn't mean I hate the entire race. Just don't like the way these types carry themselves.

No, its not that black. Its just that the mainstream national media only focuses on the "black side" of Atlanta. However, this could change as the city itself, the "spokesperson" for the whole metro area, continues to get whiter. Atlanta has no more blacks than Metro Chicago or D.C.

So then the fact is the blacks run the media or it's just focused around the blacks?

That new reality show seems to focus itself around the blacks.
