Another huge boost for the Central Business District. The https://www.facebook.com/theClubhouseAugusta is moving into the former Richmond Academy building.

The creative class in the CSRA is growing and many great things are beginning to happen. This is exciting news, because Augusta is currently the second fastest growing tech sector in Georgia and will eventually surpass Atlanta based on per capita.

Cities who don't rely on the local government to move forward are destined for greatness. Augusta ranked #2 in high tech job growth last year behind Atlanta, but will eventually become number one based on per capita growth. The 700 jobs(Unisys) coming to the riverwalk is a huge boost to the local high tech sector.

''TheClubhou.se moved from a Broad Street storefront into the old Academy of Richmond County on Nov. 1 and has spent months turning the 213-year-old building into its Innovation Academy, where tech-minded individuals can have space to work together, create and find mentorship. The 18,000-square-foot structure at 540 Telfair St., once a school, a library and later a museum, sat mostly vacant for the past 20 years.''
