South Augusta and South Richmond county Hephzibah, Blythe, Mcbean is a huge land area. You could have a drag strip and a race track. I mean how many people in South Augusta and South Richmond county actually hear the airplanes daily at the airport.

Yeah, I was just saying that you don't really want the two right next to each other. I might have misunderstood what Hot_Mike was talking about, but I thought that was what he was saying.

I really was thinking they could be closer like 5-10 mile apart with shopping centers in between. Wren would be a good location, right along the fall line freeway. But rather have it going towards Burke county. We should build towards Savannah not Macon. Maybe they would give interstate 3 from savannah to Augusta to Greenville or tenesee.

GA-SC Horse Racing Committee (http://www.gaschrc.org/articles/economicimpact.html - broken link)

State lawmakers are currently contemplating a three budget scenario along with the governor’s office. Currently, the governor’s office budget is set at $47.8 million; the legislative budget is set at $41.8 million; and the fiscal budget for the state is much smaller at $21.2 million.

Each horse triggers roughly seven jobs, according to testimony given to the Equine Study Committee, and as many as 800-1,000 horses participate in a single series of races, known as a meet.
