And it's not that far of a drive anyway. People drive all the way to Salt Lick for great BBQ. Surely magnificent sideburns and a perfect taper fade deserve a 20 minute drive into north Austin.

Post your pic once they fix you up. I gotta see these burns!

We take our sons to either Donald or Jamar @ Kut Klose barber shop in Pflugerville. Donald is decent. I think Jamar does a better job. We started going to Kut Klose after our other barber shut down his shop. You might still be able to find him if you google him: Tim Hastings. My son sat in his chair for a loooong time, but Tim always gave him a nice taper. Good luck...I know how hard it is to find a good barber. I once took my son to Texas Sports Clips (I think that's the name). The barber created a NEW hairline on one side of my son's head...it was REALLY high, and he cut up my sons head really bad because he kept going over and over the line with the razor. On the other side, he followed the edge from the last cut. So he had lopsided hairlines. My son put band aids over the messed up side for about a week. Teenagers can be cruel.

Anyway, we went back the next day to talk to the owner. He apologized profusely, gave us a refund, and he offered to cut my son's hair for free the next time. Needless to say, my son never wanted to go back.

I know you were asking for a sob story...but this is just a heads up about where NOT to go.
