Does anyone have this? I'm sick of AT&T and paying 60 bucks a month. Could you tell me what you pay and if it is reliable service? What is the cheapest I can get this for if I bundle with my existing cable/internet?

I had AT&T phone service and switched to Time Warner digital phones. My phone service is $39.99 for unlimited local and long distance in the U.S., selected U.S. territories, and Canada. The service has been fine. Of course, if the cable goes out, you have no TV, no internet (if you have that service) and no phone. We have cell phones, so it's not a problem. We've only had a few outages for short periods over several years.

I also pay $39.99 for TWC digital phone, and that's in a bundle. I realize a land line in general is a waste these days, redundant if you have a decent internet connection (it's just VOIP anyway). The digital phone sounds great, of course no long distance charges for the USA, but as mentioned earlier if your cable is out it's useless. However, I like the fact that all the features are free... I use the call forwarding a lot, in fact most of the time my home # is just forwarded to my cell.

I like TW for work. I work from home and its reliable most of the time. Given that is VOIP, atxcio is correct. Its a nice feature to forward to the Crackberry.

The best deal for a VOIP land line is if you have a T-Mobile cell phone. It's $9.95 a month for unlimited calls/long distance. Local phone #, call waiting, voice mail, etc included. The sound quality is superior to TWC, IMO.

We have TW bundled HDTV, phone, and internet in Cedar Park. Our bill is around $135/month. We don't have any premium movie channels, but the service has been generally very good and consistent.

I have a very basic AT&T phoneline and it costs about $26 per month with 1/2 that being taxes and surcharges. I do not do call waiting, caller-ID or long distance. I use my cellphone for 99% of my calls and all those features are included standard.

I would never use a cable or internet based phone for the house because if there is a power outage, then there is no phone. Of course with my cellphone that is not an issue either. Also would be concerned that my home alarm system would become disabled with a power outage too because the alarm which has a battery backup, also needs a working phone line.

No problems here with TW phone -$39.99 with bundled services and cell phone backup for power outages. I'm still struggling with needing a land line though. $40 is a lot for the little we use it.
