Hey, everyone, just finally moved down to cedar Park from upstate NY. I have to say this place is way better than I would have expected. sunny, warm and clean, compared to freezing in the cold. I cant believe to see people complain about this place on here. If it is so bad, why not move? I am really surprised on how clean they keep everything around here.

Welcome to Texas!

Coincidentally I have family from upstate (Oswego) and have spent a fair amount of time there. The comparison between them is night and day.

There is still way too much litter along our roads here in Williamson County.

Haven't been to New York City since 1954, so I can't comment on any differences.

Glad you made it! If you can get a copy of Community Impact or go to their website, there's a lot of information about local businesses, restaurants, etc as well as some pretty detailed maps that might help you navigate the area. Never hurts to get the 'lay of the land', especially since so many roads change names and direction . Wouldn't hurt to get a copy of Entertainment Book for coupons as well as checking the 'Nab the Deal' and Groupon-type sites(many others, as well). Might as well save some money while you sample the local offerings .

Cedar park is pretty good at keeping clean. I wish I could say the same for the rest of the area. I35 is full of garbage from papers to pallets. I had to dodge a car hood once. In my girlfriends neighborhood I will pick up all the trash that has blown into her yard then one day later it is full of garbage again. On the side of a back street near where I lived in south Austin people were always dumping their garbage. TWICE people dumped boats there. The second one ended up getting lit on fire. By the looks of the tree it was under and the drought we are in were were lucky there wasn't a huge brush or small forest fire as a result.
