Hello everyone,

I would like to know if there's a high visibility place in Austin where I can park a vehicle for sale. Any replies would be appreciated!

Um, I would list it on CL, not just park it somewhere and hope for the best (and that you don't get towed.) Or if you're getting a newer car from the dealer, do a trade-in. I think many people start looking for a car online, not by randomly driving around.

Fortunately, Code Enforcement keeps most areas clear of 'curbstoning' vehicles. Not a great idea to park on private property in order to display a for-sale vehicle and the property owner is likely to get a visit from CE if they allow such(unless the property is zoned for auto sales).

There are a couple of 'driveway' areas along Parmer where folks parked in the past but I'm glad to say that CE seems to have put a stop to it.

There is some sort of 'Park and Sell' lot on S. Bell(183) south of 1431 in Cedar Park that looks like a legit sales lot for 'individual' auto sales(don't know the actual name).

One approach is to check Craigslist for 'wanted' listings for vehicles like yours. I sold our aunt's car with one email to a listing on Craigs. Right time, right place, right price, I reckon.

Twice I've sold my car to Carmax. I've usually gotten a couple hundred less than what Bluebook thinks I should get but to me it's worth the no hassle.
