I was very sick after going there. The buffet was lukewarm at best. The cups were dirty. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there. Not even for cheap buffet.

That is normal. One always feels terrible after eating at a cheap chinese buffet.

I'm too late, but if you're ever around the area again, there's a sushi restaurant in the shopping center off Parmer & Silver Creek (next to Thai Cuisine and near Silver Grill) called Tomodachi. Very fresh fish. I'd consider it near Musashino in terms of quality. I'm not a big fan of crazy fusion rolls, but they do a lot of those too and a lot of people seem to like them.

Too late now, but the restaurants in the domain are actually pretty good. We like north.

That far north is kind of a wasteland as far as good food. However you will be passing some good places close to mopac.

Good restaurants in the area right off mopac (musashinos on your way home - may be closed on mondays),

bartletts (used to be houstons) at anderson ln and burnet (spicewood springs exit off mopac)

Phils ice house (78704 burger is awesome) at 2222 and lamar

I usually dont, but sometimes it is nice to eat cheap chinese buffet and deal with the consequences. Almost everyone I know gets sick afterwards regardless of the place.

So G-G, where'd you end up? I almost hit Silver Grill for lunch today. Maybe tomorrow.

Some Far West at Mopac choices; I eat at these places a lot: Susie's Grill on Anderson at Shoal Creek, Chez Zee, Craigo's for Italian, El Chile, Mirabelle on Mesa.

We ate at Silver Grill Cafe, at least in part because of the coupon you sent. It was OK, but not great. My son liked the pulled pork. My husband and I had a turkey and rib combo meal. The turkey was almost like ham, so different people will like or not like that. The ribs were fine, but seemed to have no rub on them, just served with sauce, and the fried okra was not well spiced - kind of blah. The coleslaw was good. The service was good and the people nice, and the setting was pleasant. So kind of a mixed bag. If I had it to do again, we would have gone to Tomodachi, as suggested by Calel. But I think Silver Grill would be OK for a lunch.

And we did buy the TV. It was delivered today, and we are enjoying it this evening. Successful trip!
