I definitely think 80 days. I hope I don't get banned from the forums for saying this, but in just the past decade I believe Austin has seen a 100 degree day on October 2nd!

Don't forget my rain prediction for part of the Labor Day weekend...that'll 'cost' us a couple of days of 100s.

The 10 day forecast has triple digits each day so we will make 77 days and that's by Aug. 31st. So easily 80+ days of triple digit IMO.

We might as well shoot for 100 days and blow the old record out of the water. We need to do this in style folks.

The 10 day forecast shows the next 10 days as sunny with little chance of rain, between 104-107. This is just nuts! I have never been so desperate to see some rain in my life!

Wow, I just heard the forecast -- today ties the record, and it could get to 105-106.

Then it is supposed to get HOTTER and more humid. Possibly 108 degree days (multiple!) this week and a heat advisory already issued all the way through Saturday.

I thought we'd probably hit 74-75 total 100 degree days this year, and I'll stick with that... although looking at the forecasts, 80+ days definitely seems within the realm of possibilities. Crazy. We are not only surpassing, but completely blowing away the 86 year old record.

But it's got to break soon, at least. September is right around the corner, and while 100 degree days in Sept are not uncommon... solid weeks of 100+ usually never happen.

I was told that someone was trying to organize a rain dance and get as many people as they could. Does anyone here know when and where is the dance going to happen? I am seriously considering participate it now - just that desperate.

You missed it. It was in the next village over called Houston and it was run by a leader they call Perry. They all gathered and talked to the invisible cloud people and asked them for rain. The invisible cloud people ignored them.
