First off, I am sorry for your situation. I have read your previous posts and it sounds like things have been rough for a while for you.

I agree...do not let your COBRA lapse until you are covered elsewhere. Do whatever you can to keep that coverage consistent with no gaps until you can find something else that covers you.

Agree with others, get COBRA and pay for it for the full time - 12-18 months I believe.

Now that there is no pre-existing exclusion, if you manage to get coverage, they will have to cover the cancer treatments.

I'd look at any jobs with health benefits, even low paying ones. The cancer treatment benefits will far outweigh a lower salary.

My intent isn't to be contrary, but I noticed that this poster often starts a thread asking for help, and after so many people jump in to offer input and suggestions, he never returns to the thread.

His posts might very well be sincere. If they are, I hope he's at least reading the responses, and I hope he gets the help he needs.

If not, he shouldn't be starting random threads that are of such a serious nature. People are taking their time and putting in effort to research and post responses.

Yes, possibly, but it seems to be a pattern. He's done the same with previous threads that he started.

Again, if he's reading the responses, I hope the information he's been given is useful.

If not, then a lot of people are taking the time to research information in vain.

I hope it's the former.
