The auto circuit is the F1 racing track, which is cool ... if you have thousands of dollars to spend on F1 tickets. I like F1 but even if I had the money, that's a trip you make once in a blue moon.

Not trying to bash the east side though, I have a couple friends over there and it's definitely improving by leaps and bounds -- and it is the last place near downtown where you really get excellent value without giving up much. So while I am selfishly NIMBY about hooking up the two roads I can't think of a non-selfish reason not to do so.

I've seen that web site and it is pretty classic NIMBY. 'This helps other people and not us!' It's not like those 30,000 cars they're predicting are going to be summoned into existence. They are currently on some other road, clogging up someplace else.

Maybe they just want to visit the Alamo drafthouse! (trying to get the thread back on topic...) I've never been to one. Are they pricey?

Alamo Drafthouse? Not at all. Same ticket prices as the multiplexes and the prices for food are pretty standard or MAYBE a buck or two more than you'd pay at someplace like Waterloo.

Yeah! Plus, they have lots of interesting/funny video clips before the movie starts, and you don't have to sit through commercials between the trailers and the movie like at many other theaters!

No neef to apologize. Its important that this thread keeps getting bumped. Its househunting season and this is good marketing. squeeky wheels get the grease but in this case its not wheels were talking about.

Ok. Not sure if it was known or not, but CCR Newsletter says there will also be a Dentist place opening up.

I'm beginning to have doubts about whether an actual sit-down full service restaurant will be opening up in Parkside Village.

it is true there is suppose to be a dentist I believe in the building TCBY is in.. but not certain... There are still two buildings that the Community Impact does not show that should be built here shorty they've already began to level the area as well.. Hopefully one of these will have that. The AT&T still blows my mind... One of the inline stores would have been more suitable...

Z Tejas was planned but backed out according to someone at one of the places open already in the complex.
