Our dog sitter lost our dog on July 3rd near the Driskill Hotel. Our sweet pup then proceeded to run all the way to the Mexican American Cultural Center (some Driskill employees followed him). We've hung posters, called people in that neighborhood, and even hired a pet detective.

Strangely, the only calls we've received about possible sightings is in the Franklin Park / McKinney neighborhoods. We think maybe someone scooped him up, took him home and then he ran from them because he was scared.

Here is a link to our craigslist with photos of our pup. LOST! White & Tan Terrier Mix - $500 REWARD

If ANYONE has seen our sweet pup, please, please respond to this post. We miss him terribly and have a $500 Reward out for him.

Sighting him is better than trying to catch him - he's very scared and generally only comes to me or my husband.

Thank you!

Be sure to check all the shelters thoroughly. A HUGE number of dogs were taken into the shelters after the 4th, because fireworks frighten and confuse them, and a lot of them run away.

bpollard - He is chipped. Just hoping if someone has him they'll take him in to get scanned.

capitolhilltohillcountry - I'm new to this forum - how do you bump up a post?

Open D - We will definitely keep checking all the shelters. Thanks!

You might want to post on Craigslist in the "lost and found" section. I've never seen this forum used for this...

Not recommended. Per the C-D Terms of Service: Do not post in your thread ("bumping" it) just to have it appear on the top of the forum.

I'll be honest, I think your post is a very long shot on here. But I certainly understand your drive to do anything you can to find your dog, and I wish you luck.

Just saw this on Yelp - check her Craigslist posting: Found today: Small white dog | Austin | Yelp - and please, please, please check the Austin Animal Center - there are hundreds of dogs who have arrived there over the past week with all of the thunder - Looking for your lost dog? | Austin | Yelp

Note sure if this is clear: Try Austin Animal Center (the new shelter off of Airport Blvd. run by City of Austin) and Town Lake Animal Shelter (the old City of Austin shelter off of Cesar Chavez St., now run by Austin Pets Alive but housing some Austin Animal Center overflow). Both have capacity for a large quantity of dogs.

I really hope you find your dog.
