Frustrated much? This is like the 3rd thread you've started about this.

I do know that they are clearing out trees right now on that lot between Brodie Wild and Bowie High for those apartments - they have already received approval from the city for construction.

Annoying much? This is like the third thread you've been condesending on! Maybe someone has some new information. Grrrr to you too Mr. Downer!

@llkltk: No one really knows. Community Impact wasn't able to get a date out of Stratus Properties on when they'd build. If they can't get a date, my guess is that there isn't one.

So it looks like finances for Stratus went downhill a while back, and the project is on "indefinite hiatus". The sign's been there for prob well over 2 years now, with no sign of activity. I'm not sure if they're actually bankrupt or not. Based on activity, I'd say they have. If so, you gotta wonder if someone else will pick up the project.

A ways back I got so frustrated by the fact that nothing's happening there that I updated the Wikipedia entry for Circle C Alamo Drafthouse. No one's updated it since! LOL

Alamo Draft House - Circle C - Austin (7 screens; may break ground sometime before the year 2050...)

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Maybe it will be done about the same time as the new AMY'S Ice Cream up on 183 N. Is there a rule that empty lots MUST be really, really ugly?

It's okay... there's always the Cinemark at Southpark Meadows.

Within 100 feet of the theatre, there is an Amy's Ice Cream, Austin's Pizza, and Green Mesquite with a patio + live music.

Good times.

Not to harp on this issue but.............I would never move to a place with the expectation of certain changes/improvements. It's better and more realistic to accept a place with its amenities, crime rate, schools, etc. as it is. If it does improve so much the better but always wishing for something that isn't there is just setting yourself up for disappointment. On a side issue be careful what you wish for in that, e.g. traffic patterns may not be the ideal status quo that you've become accustomed to.

Not trying to be condescending. Apologies if misinterpreted .

Totally agree. I may also want it to be built, but I'm happy with the way things are now, and am fully aware of the consequences it might have if it's built. To put it another way, I'm happy either way.

Until (if) it's built, I'm good going to Regal Westgate 11. Good movie theater. Not as crazy as Southpark Meadows Mall, and closer to boot.
