In what is either a joke or a bid to make Austin a national laughingstock city council is considering making and installing a larger than life depiction of three homeless people and put it in a prominent park.

I have no words right now to express how ridiculous this sounds to me.

If not a joke, I think these council folks have officially gone thru the looking glass. Definitely getting their "weird" mojo back.

Mayor is just another council member in Austin, they're doing enough damage as it is.

At least they could have made it a statue of Leslie or something.

Yes, that statue appears to be memorializing homeless from the Les Miserables time period rather than Austin homeless.
